Sample Control

The accessioning of samples is in an area of the laboratory that is dedicated to the receipt, unpacking, and logging-in of biological samples. Sample security, temperature maintenance and document tracking is conducted according to ALTA's SOPs. The freezer storage is at -70 °C, with automatic temperature monitoring connected to a 24 hour security system.

Immunochemistry and cell-culture laboratory

The main body of the laboratory contains the equipment necessary for dealing with ELISAs. If necessary, a fume hood is also available for sample preparation. A separate cell culture room contains a Class II biological hood, centrifuge, CO₂ incubators, and microscopes.
